Effect of solvent-partitioned S. horneri extracts (SHEs) on mRNA (a) and protein (b) levels of MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1, and TIMP-2. β-actin was used as an internal standard. Levels of mRNA expression and protein amount were observed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction and Western blotting, respectively. Band sizes of multiple assays (n = 3) were calculated and depicted as percentage against the blank and control group.
